We’re delighted to welcome James Bateson to the EXP team as our new Website Developer.
James brings over ten years of experience as a website developer and digital accessibility specialist. He’s passionate about getting the fundamentals right – writing clean, efficient code and building inclusive, accessible products that work for everyone.
With an extensive agency background, James has collaborated with a wide range of brands including Hillarys, Jessops, Warburtons, Lakeland and Yotel.
James will focus on front-end development and accessibility, ensuring every website we create is fast, inclusive and technically robust.
Outside of work, James is a keen runner and hiker – and a cook of mixed success (his words, not ours).
Speaking about joining EXP, James said, “I’ve admired the work EXP has done for several years, and I’m excited to join their journey. I love the breadth of knowledge the team possesses, and I look forward to working with them and their client partners.”
Daniel Wallace, UX & Digital Director, added “James’ appointment comes at a great time for EXP as we continue to grow the team to meet demand for website projects – from brochure and ecommerce websites to online learning platforms. Accessibility is fundamental to all our projects, and James’ expertise will help us to ensure this is a priority in all our work.”
James will be presenting a talk on website accessibility for Tech Lunch at Fraser House, Lancaster, on Thursday 4 December. You can also read his latest blog on prioritising digital accessibility here.
