We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted for the B2B Marketing Campaign of the Year category at the Prolific North Champions Awards for our work with James Cropper, on the launch of its Rydal Packaging Collection.
The awards celebrate outstanding campaigns from across the North’s creative, digital, tech and marketing sectors.
Our campaign with James Cropper took us on a journey from a paper mill on the edge of the Lake District to launching on the international stage in Milan.
For over 180 years, James Cropper has been revolutionising paper manufacturing with innovative new product lines that are centred around sustainability.
The Rydal Packaging Collection was a new innovation, created as a sustainable alternative to plastic packaging, made of recycled materials and mixed fibres, and delivered by a British manufacturer to reduce carbon emissions.
There are often a lot of misconceptions around recycled papers and their print capabilities, particularly with the limitations of foil and embossed finishes.
We needed to demonstrate that sustainability and luxury can coexist seamlessly.
That’s why we created ‘Sometimes It Is Black and White’ – a campaign designed to dispel the myth that recycled materials cannot deliver high-end finishes.
Developed in collaboration with Foilco and Dreyer Kliche, we created a bespoke collection of typographic designs, finished with striking foil and embossed finishes as proof of its print and finishing capabilities.
These designs were brought to life in a beautifully embossed folder, inspired by the landscape of Rydal Water, and showcased at Packaging Première & PCD in Milan.
We took our strategic approach to launch even further by designing an immersive exhibition stand to capture attendee’s attention. From here, they could discover the full spectrum of James Cropper’s range. We amplified this further by developing a suite of social content ahead of the event, and capturing our own photography and videography during the show to inform James Cropper’s content strategy.
As a result of our work, we’re delighted to be working with James Cropper for the next iteration of Packaging Première & PCD Milan which takes place in May.
We cannot wait for the awards ceremony on the 8 May – wish us luck!
