Lancaster High School
Writing the next chapter for a secondary school with a new name and identity to reflect prestige, tradition, and excellence.
Lancaster High School is looking forward.
With a dated identity stuck in the past, the school has entered the next chapter with a name change and a new identity to reflect the high standards and academic excellence.
Part of the Bay Learning Trust, the school wanted to align with the others in the Trust, whilst retaining its own character.

Approach
We crafted an identity to balance tradition with modernity. Drawing on the iconic elements, central to the school’s location: Lancaster Castle, the rolling hills of Morecambe Bay and the Lancashire Rose – we built a symbol instantly recognisable as one of Lancaster.
Having worked with the Bay Learning Trust and multiple schools within the trust, we ensured a smooth transition was achieved through a comprehensive rollout across every touchpoint.
Assets
Applied across multiple marketing channels, the name change announcement required a wide range of assets to launch to mark the new academic year. This spanned everything – from uniform and signage in and around the school, to social graphics informing parents. The culmination was Open Evening – the first opportunity for children and parents alike to interact with the brand in a tangible way.
