A bold identity for an event championing Lancashire’s innovative businesses

Innovate Lancashire accelerates growth across the county by connecting businesses with R&D, funding, and business support to unlock potential.

Coinciding with an organisational rebrand, Innovate Lancashire launched LIFT – a brand-new festival celebrating Lancashire’s Innovation, Finance, and Technology, giving founders practical advice and actionable insights.

The festival required a bold but clean identity to cut through the noisy business ecosystem and put the county’s success on the map.


Approach

Drawing on our own experience of attending numerous large-scale festivals and events, we aimed to ensure that LIFT had a dynamic identity that expands to wherever the logo is placed, grabbing attention at every stage.

Taking the name literally, the identity subtly lifts to the right to signify growth and success, while the bold colour palette of green, black, and white penetrates through a loud business landscape.


Assets

The identity is applied across marketing materials with supporting patterns of an abstract deconstructed County Rose – from marketing the event across social media, to the event programme, and introductions for speakers.

The slick brand system radiates positivity and grabs the attention of founders and funders alike, with subtle adaptations for each edition to reflect the annual theme.
